Patrick Edgecomb

Patrick graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2010 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He later became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS). He specializes in rehabilitation and optimizing human performance.

Ben L.

I started seeing Patrick for physical therapy (April 2021) for pain associated from multiple sports injuries, further exacerbated by an organ donation surgery. By far, Patrick has been the best physical therapist I’ve seen in New Haven and the surrounding areas. While other physical therapists use only passive treatments (eg. ultrasound, scraping, etc), Patrick incorporates both passive and active treatments, providing proper exercises and mobility exercises to address 1) muscle weaknesses and 2) giving me back the proper muscle activation and range of motion. In the 3 months that I’ve been going to Patrick, I’ve made significant progress – MUCH more progress than my experience with a physical therapist I started seeing 3 years ago for the same problem. I know that my numerous injuries and pain might be complicated to solve, but Patrick has been patient and creative in trying to help me get back to a pain-free state.”

“I was looking for additional guidance on breath work after reading Breath and The Oxygen Advantage. I feel fortunate to have found Patrick Edgecomb to assist me. He was patient and knowledgeable in helping me with breathing techniques and with my goals around breath. He is caring and professional. I highly recommend Patrick.”

Over the last few years Patrick has been my physical therapist after surgeries for my knee (ACL) and foot (Lisfranc). He is very organized, super responsive and positive. Patrick explained it all so I could understand the broader purpose of the rehab plan, our exercises, expectations both physically and psychologically. He taught me how to understand my injury, surgery, the rehabilitation path and preventative planning. I have used Regenerative both on site and telemetrically, with awesome results. Courtney and Patrick share a deeply knowledgeable and holistic philosophy on their approach helping their patients – they also happen to be incredibly kind people and personable business owners. I would sincerely recommend using Regenerative Edge PT.”

Do you take insurance?

We provide physical therapy and other services on a “fee at time of service” basis. By removing our services from a preferred provider/contracted status with the insurance companies, we do not have to limit the time or quality of treatment we provide because of insurance company restrictions or elevate our rates to pay for billing services. Our extensive experience means that we can usually treat your problem with fewer appointments. What you are paying for is our skilled, devoted and professional expertise and time. Additionally, we have the flexibility to assist patients in financial need on a limited basis. We accept most forms of payment including cash, check, debit/credit cards, and FSA/HSA cards.

Can I still get coverage from my insurance company?

Prior to your first scheduled appointment, call your insurance company to completely understand your physical therapy benefits for out-of-network providers. When you call your insurance company, they will ask you for the name of the physical therapist you plan to see. At the time of service and payment, you will receive a written statement (“superbill”) which you can submit to your insurance company for their consideration of reimbursement to you. The amount of reimbursement you receive will vary according to the terms of your insurance policy. Some companies may reimburse you at 80%, some at 60%, some at 40%, and some may not reimburse you at all. We cannot make guarantees or estimates regarding what reimbursement your plan allows.

What makes you different from other physical therapy clinics?

Our team prioritizes your function and performance, while emphasizing the self-healing process and specific, individual needs. We take pride in listening to your concerns and apply a treatment program from day one that will give you the tools to make changes. With extensive education and training in many disciplines including orthopedics, pelvic health, breath-work, and fitness, we are confident that we have the appropriate resources to meet your needs. We strive to get you off the treatment table and back to your activities. We value collaborative treatment approaches, and will connect with your other healthcare providers to bring everyone on the same page for your desired goals.

I want to find a therapist that is a good fit for me. What should I do?

What are your COVID-19 policies?

Regardless of vaccination status, we ask that you please wear a face covering over both your nose and mouth throughout the entirety of your appointment. All staff are fully vaccinated and will also wear a face covering. We thoroughly clean and sanitize all equipment between clients, and have hand sanitizer for use. We will do our best to maintain social distancing between clients. We ask that if any clients have recently had COVID-19 symptoms, been exposed to, or tested positive for COVID-19 to please contact us before the next scheduled appointment.
